Introduction
This lecture examines advertising on Facebook as a model of social media advertising. Facebook features a vast range of advertisements directed at audiences with the aim of persuading them through their communication messages and influencing their purchasing behavior. Such advertising also affects consumers’ value systems by encouraging them to adopt particular purchasing values and to consume advertised goods on a regular basis.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Abdulhadi Al-Karkhi
IraqProfessor of Communication Sciences and Public Relations. He earned a master’s degree in Public Relations from the College of Media at the University of Baghdad in 2006 and a PhD in Public Relations from the same college in 2015. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from Al-Amal University College (2021) and serves as an international expert and reviewer for research papers submitted to scientific journals and conferences.
