Advanced Statistics and Its Applications in Scientific Research

Introduction

Statistical analysis has played a major role in scientific research, saving researchers considerable time and effort through computer-based statistical software and online resources. In an era of rapid technological development, advanced software, and big data, modern approaches to statistical data processing—particularly multivariate analysis—have become essential. These methods allow scientific research to keep pace with progress across all fields of knowledge and to produce accurate, high-quality, and credible decisions and findings. This lecture highlights several contemporary approaches to advanced statistical analysis through practical examples, including exploratory and confirmatory modeling, neural-network models, decision trees, data-mining techniques, and econophysics modeling.

Dr. Mohammed Tamer Khattab

A researcher, lecturer, and trainer in applied statistics and scientific research methodologies, accredited by Ain Shams University and numerous Egyptian and Arab universities, research centers, and training institutions. His professional experience spans from 1991 to 2022.

He has published many research papers and articles in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences in applied statistics, business administration, marketing, environmental management, and scientific research methods. He is Director of the Center for Statistical, Administrative, and Environmental Consulting and Research in Mansoura and works as a statistical analyst and experimental designer for research projects, master’s theses, doctoral dissertations, and postdoctoral studies using a range of statistical software.

He has delivered numerous lectures, courses, and workshops in statistical analysis and scientific research methods at Egyptian and Arab universities, both in person and online. He has also authored and published many books in science, Islamic studies, literature, research methodology, and statistics.
