Introduction

Today’s society urgently needs to strengthen its connection with the Qur’an. This can only be achieved by employing Qur’anic studies in service of society and the modern age. One reason for the current lack of progress is the failure to apply research in Qur’anic studies positively to real-life issues, while some research is also characterized by imitation and partisanship. This lecture offers a concise study of how innovation and renewal can be activated in the field of Qur’anic studies.

Dr. Ghazza Al-Sharif

Canada

Founder of the International Institute for Humanities in Canada. She holds a PhD in Qur’anic Exegesis and Qur’anic Sciences, is certified in the ten minor Qur’anic readings and the four supplementary readings through a highly authoritative chain of transmission, and holds certifications in numerous works on Qur’anic sciences and the Prophetic Sunnah. She has published research papers and printed books, with additional works currently being prepared for publication and completion.
